A gem in the raw – wait, what the heck is the saying?
Whatever, it doesn’t matter. If you have a soft spot for Teen Wolf but kinda err on the side of Game of Thrones, you’ll absolutely love this interesting take on supernatural creatures and the drama that high school, bad mothers, and all around chaos entails.
I won’t spoil it for you and you can find the synopsis, trailers, or description anywhere so I won’t post that either. What I will tell you is that there’s some Bromance (a little different than Stiles and Scott), lots and lots of spectacular gore, and very strange occurrences. They’ve got different takes on the werewolf, vampire lore but it’s all very worth it. The acting isn’t amazing but it isn’t hard to watch.
A few thoughts before going in:
- If you have a weak stomach, don’t watch. I’m serious. There’s this one scene… well, basically if you can’t watch an episode of a heart surgery in detail, don’t watch this show.
- Shed all your previous thoughts about supernatural creatures. There may be similarities but trust me, this show’s a little odd. Totally worth it.
- There are slow parts. Most good shows have them. Wait it out. Or not. Maybe this just isn’t your cup of tea.
- Just watch it. What’s stopping you from just trying it out? You probably are hanging in the house most weekends anyways…
