Where Johnny Depp and Crude Humor meet. It was almost like sticking Seth Rogen in a PG movie, keeping the humor, and switiching from Rogen to Depp. It’s not that the movie was bad persay… well it was, but Johnny Depp and crude humor don’t mix for me. Sure, he’s a great actor all on his own but it seems that lately, the two roles that he picked up didn’t suit him (Into the Woods, Mortdecai). Honestly, the movie wasn’t completely enjoyable and a waste of 12 bucks. I would probably rent the movie or see it as an early matinee. There were defining moments, funny moments, and even moments where you burst out laughing (then cover your mouth, hoping no one noticed and continue watching). Great idea, poor execution.
But hey, what do I know?
