I don’t know about you but I’m not really into the Christmas spirit this year. Between the warm weather, strange Christmas songs (that started the day after Halloween, come on guys!), and the rush to prepare for one of the most special days of the year, I just… wasn’t excited. But apparently, not everyone else feels that way. Ellen Page was stationed behind the food counter, awaiting her next customer. Just so you know, it’s not all glamour next to the popcorn. (More on that later). Two 5/6 year olds approached the counter asking for a large popcorn and a large drink. They handed Ellen a gift card, their eyes hopeful – desiring what they were about to receive.
Ellen took it and swiped it. But low an behold the gift card wasn’t valid. I can only imagine how their faces dropped. Ellen apologized profusely but couldn’t bear to hand them back their invalid gift card. She was at a lost of what to do. Ellen stuttered for a moment when the man behind the two little girls offered to pay for their food.
Talk about genuine care for others… Reminds me of a song:
